Old Goodies, the Piston Rigging Tutorial

This is an old, no, really an ancient tutorial. Dates back to 2004, yet it still is useful. I think nowadays everybody loves video tutorials, yet I find myself more an more uncomfortable hearing people speak and watching mice pointers move all around when all I need to know could be summarized in three sentences and maybe a picture.

Don’t get me wrong: video tutorials are great for some tasks, such as a beginner having to orient herself in the software, or to show some kind of special workflow (mudbox and zbrush users, right). But for something as basic, yet useful, as rigging a mech joint, a textural tutorial is godsend.

What do you think? Please leave a comment and let me know what you think about tutorials: lenghty videos or short and sweet cheat cards?
